BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 13. In total, 54,500 tons of non-oil products worth approximately $19.3 million were exported through the customs of Iran’s North Khorasan Province, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), Director General of North Khorasan Customs Office Abbas Bagheri said, Trend reports.
According to Bagheri, the non-oil exports via the province’s customs for the reporting period decreased by 44 percent in value, while increasing by 43 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last year.
The director general added that petrochemical products, steel products, rubber materials and saffron were the main exported goods through the customs of the province in 3 months.
He also said that petrochemical products accounted for 85 percent of the province’s total non-oil exports in volume.
“The mentioned goods were exported mainly to Iraq, Türkiye, Italy, Pakistan and Afghanistan,” he noted.
Overall, Iran exported 35.5 million tons of non-oil products worth $12.5 billion within the first three months of the current Iranian year.
This is a decrease of 8.84 percent in value, while an increase of 24.4 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
