BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 19. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Tajikistan rose by 40.5 percent in value and 41 percent in volume for the first ten months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through January 20, 2024), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.
Data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) shows that the two countries traded 286,000 tons of non-oil goods valued at around $271 million in 10 months.
In the corresponding period of the previous Iranian year, Iran’s non-oil trade with Tajikistan stood at nearly 203,000 tons worth about $193 million.
During the 10th month alone (December 22, 2023 through January 20, 2024), the non-oil trade turnover amounted to 36,600 tons worth $32.8 million.
The main trade items between the two countries were petrochemical products, steel products, agricultural and food products, cotton, silk fabric, various equipment, etc.
Overall, Iran's non-oil trade with the rest of the world was $94.8 billion in the first 10 months of this year, equivalent to approximately 146 million tons of commodities.
