Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Khalilova / Heydar Babayev, the Chairman of the Tariff Council of Azerbaijan and the Minister for Economic Development, stated on 17 May that the Council has regulated the tariffs for the Association of Suburban Economy.
So far, the Association has rendered services on the basis of tariffs, approved by the Executive Power of Baku on 18 December 1996. The number of services provided by the Association was reduced from 14 to 7 on the basis of a decision made by the Tariff Council. The service charges applied to the suburban economy ranges from AZN 9 to 28.
According to Babayev, the tariffs are applied to persons who are involved in the exploitation of the suburban economy. The changes in tariffs is minimal and should not raise any concerns," the minister assured.
