Baku Inter-bank Monetary Exchange Holds Meeting with CIS Members of International Association Exchange

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend / The 3rd meeting of the representatives of informative and marketing services of exchange members of the International Association of Exchange (IAE) of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held by the Baku Interbank Monetary Exchange (BIME) in Sheki on 6 and 8 September.

The representatives of the monetary fund exchange of the six countries, namely, Azerbaijan, Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Belarus, discussed prospects to develop informative-analytic functions; upgrade peculiarities of PR and IR as well as other issues.

Attending the discussions were the representatives of the Moscow Interbank Monetary Exchange, Ukrainian Interbank Monetary Exchange, Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, Belarus Stock Exchange, Russian Stock Exchange and Tbilisi Inter-bank Monitory Exchange. The participants of the meeting exchanged their experiences of the present stock information and assessed the rate of sale through the development of cooperation through international means.

The first and second meeting of the representatives of informative and marketing services of exchange members of the International Association of Exchange of CIS was held in Baku during the 2005 and 2006 autumn season.

The International Association of Exchange of CIS was founded in Moscow on 20 April 2000 with the participation of Russia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Georgia. The function of the Association is to offer assistance to organize mutual admission of residents to implement exchange operations, to regulate the cross-flow of money in national currencies among CIS countries and to introduce international standards of operations in capital markets.
