Naftogaz Ukraine National JSC and SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) conduct talks to supply two more million tons of oil to Ukraine per year, Ukrinform reported on Tuesday referring to the chief executive officer of SOCAR's trade mission - SOCAR Trading, Valeria Golovushkin.

"We are now discussing a contract with the state-owned company [Naftogaz] to supply two million tons per year," Golovushkin said during the first International Oil Summit in Kiev.
He said the date of signing the contract and start of deliveries of Azerbaijani oil depend on Naftogaz. "It depends on the buyers, not on us. We are ready to supply oil," said Golovushkin.

He said that currently SOCAR oil supplies oil based on CIF to the Kremenchug oil refinery and two western Ukrainian refineries.

"Under the contract, we supply about two million tons in 2011, and if to sign a contract with Naftogaz, then there will be two more million tons in 2012," said Golovushkin.

He said the volume of delivery of Azerbaijani oil to Ukraine depends only on its purchasing capacity.
