Turkey has filed a lawsuit at the International Court of Arbitration against Iran to dispute the gas price and it is not going to change its decision, Anadolu Agency quotes Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz as saying on Thursday.
"At present, there is no change with this issue. Therefore we will not disclaim the action," Yildiz said.
He also said that if Turkey gets an offer from Iran regarding gas price, then it will certainly consider it.
In 1996, Iran and Turkey signed an agreement to supply 10 billion cubic metres of gas to Turkey annually (30 million cubic metres per day).
According to the statistical data of the Turkish State Pipeline Corporation Botas, Turkey imported 39.7 billion cubic meters of gas in 2011. Among the exporters of gas to Turkey, Russia ranks first, Iran and Azerbaijani follow.
