RWE Dea AG announces tender in Turkmenistan for drilling operations

RWE Dea AG announced on May 5 an international technical tender for the provision of drill bits, coring services, and maintenance of mud sliding extender required for drilling and testing activities near the Ekerem settlement of Balkan province of Turkmenistan under the Production Sharing Agreement for Marine Block 23 in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea.

The tender is held on the following lots:

- Lot number 1: drill bits (roller cone and PDC bits) from 28" to 4 1/8";

- Lot number 2: coring services;

- Lot number 3: sliding reamer bit suitable for directional drilling with rotary driven systems RSS from 22' to 7"; extender borehole 28".

Work is scheduled to be launched in the first quarter of 2013.

The contractor, licensed in Turkmenistan should be able to operate in accordance with the highest standards of quality, health protection, labour and environment, and with minimal impact in a vulnerable environment. It is compulsory to protect the environment with zero discharge.
