Turkish state-owned Electricity Transmission Company (TEİAS) signed an agreement yesterday with European Energy Exchange to establish energy exchange in Turkey, the Anadolu agency reported on Friday.
Addressing the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Metin Kilci stressed the importance of establishing energy exchange in Turkey - a country that acts as a bridge between Asia and Europe.
Date of establishment of the exchange and other details will be discussed in subsequent meetings of representatives of the European Energy Exchange and the Energy Ministry of Turkey.
