Turkey reveals volume of oil shipment from Ceyhan terminal

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Jan. 27

Turkey’s Botas International Limited (BIL) company, providing the operation of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline shipped 3.3 billion barrels of oil from Ceyhan terminal from June 2, 2006 through January 2020, Trend reports via Turkish media.

In total, over 4,440 tankers were shipped from the terminal.

The total lengths of BTC oil pipeline is 1,768 kilometers, 443 km of which lay in Azerbaijan, 249 km in Georgia, 1,076 km in Turkey.

The shareholders of BTC, which was established on August 1, 2002 to implement the project, are BP (30.1 percent), AzBTC (25 percent), Chevron (8.9 percent), Statoil (8.71 percent), TPAO (6.53 percent), Eni (5 percent), Total (5 percent), Itochu (3.4 percent), Inpex (2.5 percent), CIECO (2.5 percent) and ONGC (2.36 percent).
