Turkmenistan sells urea to UAE, gasoline to Afghanistan

At the auction of of State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan held last week, 46 deals were concluded, Trend reports with reference to The State News Agency of Turkmenistan “Turkmenistan Today”.

Purchases were made for both foreign currency and Turkmen manat.

The amount of transactions for foreign currency was $25.3 million. This deal included urea and gasoline, which is produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries. The UAE purchased urea, while Afghanistan and Scotland purchased gasoline.

Regarding the domestic market, total amount of transactions worth 14.1 million manats ($4.1 million) were carried out. Entrepreneurs from Turkmenistan purchased polyethylene and polypropylene, cotton fiber.

The state Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan is the main body regulating export and import operations of the country.
