Azerbaijani SOCAR's Turkish subsidiary reveals volume of sales

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 2

The total volume of oil products sold by SOCAR Turkey Enerji, a subsidiary of State oil company of Azerbaijan SOCAR in February 2020, amounted to 23,086 tons, Trend reports referring to a report posted on the website of the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).

During the reporting period, the share of SOCAR Turkey Enerji 's products in the Turkish market amounted to 1.1 percent.

In 2019, 332,002 tons of oil products were sold by the company on the Turkish domestic market.

According to EPDK, the total volume of oil products sold by SOCAR Turkey Enerji amounted to 48,096 tons in January-February 2019.

SOCAR Turkey Enerji A. S., one of the global oil and gas companies with most extensive network of enterprises, began its business activity in Turkey after acquiring 51 percent of Turkish Petkim company in 2008.

The company staff in Turkey is 5,000, and the annual export potential reaches $3 billion. SOCAR's current assets in Turkey include the Petkim complex as well as the STAR and Petkim refineries.
