The decline in world oil prices also affected the prices of petroleum products sold at gas stations in Georgia, said Shavleg Mishveladze, head of the Oil, Petroleum Products and Natural Gas Committee of the Business Association of Georgia (BAG), Trend reports via Georgian media.

According to him, the tendency to strengthen the lari exchange rate that began a few days ago also had a positive impact on the formation of prices for various types of fuel.

“Since the beginning of April, gas and diesel prices at gas stations have been gradually decreasing, and this decrease was approximately 70-80 tetri (23-26 cents),” Mishveladze said.

According to him, customers of large brand companies, both individuals and legal entities, have the opportunity to take advantage of various discount systems, thanks to which they receive an additional discount of 15-25 tetri (5-8 cents) per liter of fuel.

“Despite the fact that over the past two weeks, oil prices have been rising on the world market, we can assume that fuel prices at Georgian gas stations will remain at the current level,” Mishveladze said.
