A solar panel station has been put into operation in the Shahid Salimi industrial park of Tabriz city in East Azerbaijan Province (northwestern Iran), Deputy Chairman of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization’s (ISIPO) branch in East Azerbaijan Province Sohrab Feyzzadeh said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.
Feyzzadeh noted that 600 million rials (about $14,200) were spent on the installation of a 5-kilowatt solar panel station.
He added that the station is installed on the basis of technical rules and standards.
The official stressed that the plant was installed in accordance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Iran to provide at least 20 percent of electricity to government agencies with alternative renewable energy sources.
Shahid Salimi Industrial Park is located 30 kilometers from the Tabriz city (center of West Azerbaijan Province) and covers an area of more than 1,000 hectares.
