Turkmenistan sets tasks for fuel, energy sector development

Turkmenistan has identified tasks that will contribute to the development of the country's fuel and energy sector, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.

The main goals are to increase the volume of oil and natural gas production and processing, introduce modern digital technologies, and expand international cooperation in the energy sector.

The country has confirmed the necessity to timely fulfill work on the exploration of new oil and gas deposits, ensuring the growth of hydrocarbon resources to create a reliable raw material base for the fuel and energy sector.

It was also decided to accelerate the diversification of Turkmen natural gas supplies to world markets and search for potential consumers.

The program of development of the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan up to 2030 envisages construction of facilities and enterprises for the production of synthetic gasoline in the country's Akhal region, of methyldiethanolamine in the Balkan region and of isobutane at polymer plant in Kiyanly as well as plants for the production of rubber, polystyrene, polyvinyl acetate and methanol.
