Kazakhstan, Tajikistan may change customs duties on petroleum products

Kazakhstan and Tajikistan discussed the possibility of applying a zero rate of customs duty in the supply of oil products and liquefied natural gas, Trend reports citing the Tajik Foreign Ministry on October 6.

The issue was discussed at a meeting with the participation of the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Kazakhstan Khairullo Ibodzoda, Tajik Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources Sharifa Khudobakhsh and Kazakh Deputy Energy Minister Aset Magauov.

The parties discussed issues related to the development and expansion of bilateral cooperation in the supply of oil products and liquefied natural gas to Tajikistan.

Also, the sides discussed the conclusion of agreements in these areas between Tajik importers and Kazakh producers, as well as the possibility of applying a zero customs duty rate for relevant trade operations.
