BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. The volume of Azerbaijani oil export to Ukraine from January through March 2022 grew, Trend reports via the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
According to the committee, this figure amounted to 506,349 tons, up by 166,960 tons (49.2 percent) on annual basis.
The value of Azerbaijani oil export to Ukraine in the first quarter of this year exceeded $304.5 million (an increase of $193 million or more than 2.7 times). The share of Ukraine in Azerbaijan's total oil exports was 8.61 percent.
The trade turnover between the two countries in the reporting period amounted to over $402,490, which is $180,085 (81 percent) more than in 1Q2021.
Totally, Azerbaijan exported over 5.8 million tons of oil from January through March 2022, which is nearly 1.16 million tons (16.45 percent) less than over the same period of 2021. In terms of value, the oil exports exceeded $3.6 billion, which is a year-on-year growth of $1 billion (38.1 percent).
