Control of main blocks and aggregates and replacement of obsolete details and units in the framework of the scheduled repair of the Steam and Gas Plant (SGP) of 400 MWt at the Shimal HEPS is underway. Due to suspension of SGP an old unit of 150 MWt operating in the optimal mode is commissioned, the enterprise director Ahmediya Shahhusseynov said, Trend reports.
Specialists from Japanese Mitsubishi, a SGP construction contractors, as well as engineers and workers of Belgian CMI and Turkish EPRO are engaged with boilers and are to ensure to reset-up of filters for sea water purification. The Joint Stock Company intends to announce tender on identifying the general contractor for construction of the second SGP in early 2006.
