Oil&Gas Materials 7 February 2006 14:48 (UTC +04:00)

The Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC), developing the Azeri-Chirag-Gyuneshli (ACG) off - shore block produced 1 million 373,700 tons of oil of the Azeri Light brand on the contract area in January 2006, which is for 752,700 higher of January 2005. Production increase is explained by the fact that in February 2005 production from the central Azeri field started, while in January 2006 from the western part of Azeri.

In January 2006 from the total volume, AIOC produced 636,100 tons oil on the Chirag field and 737,600 tons from the Azeri field, AIOC told Trend.

In the last year December the company produced 1 million, 485,000 tons of oil on ACG (Azeri + Chirag). In December 2005 AIOC produced 617,900 tons on Chirag, on В"РђzeriВ" - 868,000 tons. Decrease of the production volumes on Azeri in this January is explained by technical production reducing on Central Azeri during 6-7 days, to perform scheduled technical works at the Sangachal oil terminal.
