Operation of Shimal power plant has been suspended for prevention repairs. The boilers and all associated assemblies are subject to scheduled inspection, Trend reports with reference to the news release by РћРђРћ Azerenerji issued April 12.
Quoting the power plant executive Vugar Shakhmuradov, the works commenced April 10 and will be completed as per the schedule by evening April 14.
The operations involve the experts from Mitsubishi that are engaged in inevitable boiler load failures; in particular, to solve some thermal treatment problems Japanese engineers have installed the state-of-the-art sensors recording the tiniest temperature change and metal tension
Alongside Japanese experts, Scottish engineers from WEIR are handling pumps$ Belgian and Turkish specialists are also involved.
В"There are no problems with power supply, no failures during the operation. To reach the scheduled power supply we have put old power block in operation and produce 75 РњW that is quite sufficient to provide consumers with electricityВ",- Mr Shakhmuradov concluded.
