Production of Butane-Butylene in Azerbaijan Doubles

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / From January to April, the oil refinery named after Heydar Aliyev (formerly Azerneftyanajag) of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 48,460 tons of butane-butylene fraction, an increase of 61% from forecasted, a source at SOCAR stated.

Between January and April of last year, the volume of butane-butylene fraction production equalled 32,160 tons, 16,300 tons less (50.7%) from the same period of this year. In 2006 the volume of butane-butylene fraction production in Azerbaijan equalled 148,220 tons and in 2005 it was 129,620 tons.

As in last year, propane-propylene fraction was not produced between January and April at this enterprise. In 2005 the volume of propane-propylene production equalled 3,020 tons.
