Georgia, Tbilisi /corr. Trend N.Kirskhalia / On 2 August Georgia intend to re-establish the export of electricity to Azerbaijan which was terminated on 31 July.
According to the information provided by the electricity system (KOES) of Georgia, the electricity export to Azerbaijan was terminated due to the restoration work on the electricity transmission lines connecting the two countries.
The electricity supply between Azerbaijan and Georgia is carried out on an exchange system. Azerbaijan will borrow the electricity during the summer and return it to Georgia during the winter. According to information by the Commercial operator of the electricity system (KOES), in July Georgia supplied 1,780,000 KWt electricity to Azerbaijan.
