In January-August 2019, the total volume of operations on securities at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) amounted to 10.023 billion manats, Trend reports referring to the BSE.
In January-August 2018, the volume of operations was 9.643 billion manats. Thus, the growth of the total volume of transactions in the first eight months of 2019 amounted to 4 percent.
Among the operations, 1,421 transactions worth 8.532 billion manats were carried out on government securities. Meanwhile, 1,554 transactions totaling 746.684 million manats fell on corporate securities.
REPO transactions amounted to 744.294 million manats. In total, in January-August 2019, 363 deals were made on the Baku Stock Exchange.
In August 2019, the capitalization of the Baku Stock Exchange amounted to 3.374 billion manats. Compared to the previous month, the exchange's capitalization increased by insignificant 0.04 percent.
