The Domestic Producer Price Index for industrial products (DPPI) in Georgia increased by 1.9 percent in August 2019 compared to July, Trend reports referring to the Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).
In the mentioned period the prices went up for manufactured products by 1.9 percent and for electrical energy, gas, stream and hot water by 2.3 percent.
Compared to August 2018 the DPPI increased by 10.4 percent. In comparison, the prices have also increased for manufactured products (12.7 percent), products from mining and quarrying (5.7 percent), also for electrical energy, gas, steam and hot water (1.1 percent).
The Export Price Index (XPI) increased by 2.5 percent in August 2019 compared to the previous month. There was a 2.1 percent increase in the prices for manufactured products.
Compared to August 2018 the XPI increased by 13.2 percent. In the mentioned period prices increased for manufactured products by 9.8 percent and for products from mining and quarrying by 38.6 percent.
