Iran discloses volume of currency sold by exporters

Iranian exporters sold 16.07 billion euros to banks at the NIMA rate (which has been created for exporters to sell a portion of their export revenues to banks) from March 21, 2019 to March 18, 2020. Trend reports citing the NIMA system's website.

According to the report, 13.6 billion euros were sold to importers for the same period, based on the NIMA exchange rate.

About 27.3 billion euros were sold to banks at NIMA exchange rates by exporters from the end of July 2018 to March 18, 2020. During that period, 23.1 billion euros were sold to importers.

According to the currency exchange rate of the Central Bank of Iran, $1 equals 42,000 rials and 1 euro equals 46,000 rials based on the exchange rate offered to the banks; 1 euro is 167,000 rials and $1 is 152,200 rials according to SANA; and 1 euro is 157,000 rials and $1 is 136,000 rials at the NIMA rate.
