The total volume of deposits amounted to 23.4 billion manat ($13.7 billion) in Azerbaijan in late May 2020, which is 6.3 percent more than in late May 2019, Trend reports on July 2 referring to the report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
The volume of deposits of non-financial organizations increased by 13.5 percent compared to May 2019, amounting to 13.3 billion manat ($7.8 billion).
The volume of deposits of individuals decreased by 11.2 percent up to 7.6 billion manat ($4.4 billion).
As of May 2020, deposits in foreign currency amounted to 14.2 billion manat ($8.3 billion), showing an increase of 6.8 percent compared to the same period of last year.
The deposits in the national currency increased by 13 percent compared to May 2019, reaching 9.1 billion manat ($5.3 billion).
