Broad money value goes on increasing in Kazakhstan month-on-month

The value of Kazakhstan’s monetary base amounted to 9.6 trillion tenge ($22.8 billion) in Oct. 2020, which is 40.2 percent more than at the beginning of the year, Trend reports with reference to the data of Kazakhstan’s National Bank.

The value of Kazakhstan’s monetary base has also increased by 7.1 percent compared to Sept. 2020.

“The narrow reserve money equaled 5.3 trillion tenge ($12.5 billion), which is 2.1 percent less than at beginning of the year. The narrow reserve money has increased by 8.1 percent compared to Sept. 2020,” the report said.

“In turn, the value of the currency in circulation stood at 2.8 trillion tenge ($6.6 billion), which is 21.9 percent more compared to the value as of the beginning of the year, and 0.2 percent less than in Sept. 2020,” the statement said.

M1 money aggregate increased by 15.8 percent since the beginning of the year and amounted to 6.8 trillion tenge ($16.2 billion), whereas M2 money aggregate increased by 17.1 percent and equaled 18.7 trillion tenge ($44.4 billion).

“The broad money value amounted to 24.7 trillion tenge ($58.5 billion), which is 16 percent more than at the beginning of the year. Broad money value has also increased by 2.3 percent compared to September 2020,” the report said.
