The Agency for State Assets Management (ASAM) of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum with the Russian Expobank on the privatization of Poytakht Bank, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.
The signing of the agreement took place at the Economic Forum of Uzbekistan-2021 held in Tashkent.
Deloitte was chosen as a consultant on the privatization of Poytakht Bank JSC.
Poytakht Bank was founded in 2018. The main activity of the bank is to carry out commercial banking operations, operations with securities, foreign exchange, granting loans and guarantees.
From the moment of its foundation, 100 percent of the authorized capital of Poytakht Bank belonged to the state represented by the Tashkent City Hall. In May 2021, ASAM announced the acceptance of applications for the privatization of the bank.
