Iran’s Tejarat Bank provides loans related to coronavirus

Iran’s Tejarat Bank, within 18 months, has provided loans worth 30.6 trillion rials (about $729 million) locally in connection with the coronavirus pandemic (March 20, 2020 through September 22, 2021), Trend reports citing the bank’s website.

According to the report, the Tejarat Bank provided these loans to 83,000 applicants.

"During the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021), the bank issued loans worth 3.24 trillion rials (about $77 million) based on 8,730 applications," the report said.

Meanwhile, in the last Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Iran’s Tejarat Bank provided loans worth 27.3 trillion rials (about $652 million) based on 74,800 applications.

The loans were provided to entrepreneurs affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
