Iran provides several loans in trade sector

Iranian banks issued loans worth 3.11 quadrillion rials (about $74.1 billion) in the trade sector, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through December 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the statistics, loans worth 103 trillion rials (about $2.44 billion) were issued in connection with the establishment of enterprises and other opportunities in the trade sector during the reporting period.

"Over 9 months, 1.5 quadrillion rials (about $35.8 billion) worth of loans were issued in the trade sector as working capital," the statistics said.

Furthermore, Iranian banks issued loans worth 7.81 trillion rials (about $186 million) for the repairs related to enterprises and 197 trillion rials (about $4.69 billion) for the development of enterprises in the trade sector, the statistics said.

At the same time, 1.29 quadrillion rials (about $30.7 billion) worth of loans were issued for the purchase of personal assets, and 5.62 trillion rials (about $133 million) for the purchase of housings, and 3.54 trillion rials (about $84.4 million) for other purposes in the trade sector.

The Iranian banks issued loans worth about 20.2 quadrillion rials (about $481 billion) in various economic sectors in the first nine months of the current Iranian year.

The figure stood at 7.56 quadrillion rials (about $180 billion) in the same period last Iranian year.
