Turnover of securities on Baku Stock Exchange slightly down

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 8. The turnover of securities on the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) exceeded 8.23 billion manat ($4.8 billion), in January through June 2022, which is 13.1 percent less than the same period the previous year, Trend reports via BSE.

The government securities amounted to 55.26 percent of the turnover of BSE or 4.548 billion manat ($2.675 billion).

The turnover of corporate securities on the stock increased by 173 percent compared to the period from January through June 2021 and amounted to 576.559 million manat ($339 million), the repurchase agreement (REPO) transactions on corporate securities increased by almost 596 percent to 25.003 million manat ($42 million).
