Iran’s Central Bank publishes data on bank loans issued countrywide

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 18. The Iranian banks issued loans worth approximately 36.7 quadrillion rials (about $874 billion) in various economic sectors in the country, during the first 11 month of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through February 19, 2023), Trend reports via the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

"So, the country’s banks issued loans worth approximately 2.5 quadrillion rials (about $59.4 billion) in the agricultural sector for 11 months," the statistics said.

Moreover, the banks provided loans worth 10.9 quadrillion rials (about $260 billion) in Iran's industrial and mining sectors within eleven months.

According to the statistics, the Iranian banks also provided loans worth about 2.16 quadrillion rials (about $51.3 billion) in housing and construction sector during the reporting period.

Furthermore, the loans worth 2.92 quadrillion rials (about $69.5 billion) were issued in the trade sector during 11 months.

At the same time,12 quadrillion rials (about $288 billion) worth of loans were issued in the services sector and approximately 10.3 trillion rials (about $244 million) in other unmentioned areas for 11 months.

The loans are provided for the establishment of enterprises and facilities, such as working capital, repair work, development, purchase of personal assets, purchase of apartments, and so on.
