BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 2. The volume of card transactions of foreign citizens in Azerbaijan increased by 0.12 percent or 2.2 million manat, which is $1.29 million (to 1.8 billion manat or $1.06 billion) from January through October 2023, Trend reports via the country's Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications.
The volume of card transactions of foreign citizens amounted to 1.7 billion manat ($999.9 million) in the same period of last year.
The data of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications showed that foreign citizens in Azerbaijan made transactions worth 203.6 million manat ($119.7 million) through bank cards in October 2023, 171.5 million manat ($100.8 million) in January, 162.3 million manat ($95.4 million) in February, 218.1 million manat ($128.2 million) in March, 126 million manat ($74.1 million) in April, 173.4 million manat ($101.9 million) in May, 148.6 million manat ($87.4 million) in June, 218.8 million manat ($128.7 million) in July 200.9 million manat ($118.1 million) in August and 186.9 million manat ($109.9 million) in September.
In addition, foreign citizens in the country made transactions worth 2.2 billion manat ($1.2 billion) through bank cards in 2022.
