BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 13. Azerbaijani delegation headed by Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov will take part in the international conference on green hydrogen organized by Arab company Masdar on April 16 in Abu Dhabi, Trend reports.
According to the information, the head of the Ministry of Energy
will present the government's vision for Azerbaijan's hydrogen
strategy development, as well as participate in discussions on
green hydrogen demand and production, and the impact of hydrogen on
the development of the green economy.
Other attendees at the meeting include Frederik Wisselink, Minister
for Economic Relations and Climate Policy of the Netherlands,
Yoshida Nobuhiro, Vice Minister for Economy, Trade, and Industry of
the Japanese Parliament, Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, Head of Hydrogen
Europe, and representatives from leading European, Asian, and
American companies with portfolios that include hydrogen projects,
global consulting, and financial services.
Key issues include the true potential of green hydrogen, its production, applications in many industries, and trade procedures.
Aiding the Azerbaijani government in establishing a hydrogen policy, Masdar is a renewable energy company controlled by the Emirati government. It was formed in 2006, and is one of the world's fastest growing renewable energy firms. It is a green hydrogen pioneer, putting the UAE at the forefront of the energy transition.
