BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 9. Azerbaijan will organize a number of events abroad before COP29, the country's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov said at the "Role of small and medium businesses in the green economy" conference in Baku today, Trend reports.
"We are organizing events in Azerbaijan and abroad to implement important global initiatives. In the coming weeks, there will be several significant events abroad," Jabbarov explained.
According to him, Azerbaijan has the potential to bring a lot to the table in the COP process.
"International cooperation is crucial and necessary to achieve the best results. In September and beyond, we'll operate with this vision," added the minister.
To note, this month, a flurry of events will be happening in the US in the lead-up to COP29, with officials from Azerbaijan in the spotlight.
This November, Azerbaijan will host COP29. This decision was made at the COP28 plenary meeting held in Dubai on December 11 last year. Baku will become the center of the world and will receive about 70–80,000 foreign guests.
