BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 4. Azerbaijani operating company COP29 has received the international certificate of ISO 45001 management system as a result of the external audit process conducted by Bureau Veritas Certification Holding SAS, a global company specializing in independent control, audit, certification, and risk management, Trend reports.

According to the information, the certificate was presented on October 2 by the official of Bureau Veritas Nahla Abid, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, during a meeting with Narmin Jarchalova, Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan Operating Company COP29 and Chief Operating Officer, where the parties discussed the importance of creating a safe business environment during the meeting.

At the meeting, Abid noted that COP29's obtaining an international certificate is the result of the operating company's sustainable strategic approach and high level of ensuring labor safety measures.

She said that the operating company's activities in this field, sticking to international standards, are worth their weight in gold.

Jarchalova pointed out that this feather in their cap will keep on paving the way for better working conditions and will surely ramp up safety measures.

To note, the ISO 45001 standard is a global-level management system applied in enterprises for accident prevention, occupational health and safety, and ensuring safety conditions for workers. The purpose of this standard is to ensure a healthy and safe business environment, as well as to improve workplace safety and minimize possible risks. Through this certificate, COP29 once again confirms that Azerbaijan Operating Company implements systems that comply with international standards to ensure the health and safety of its employees.
