The volume of revenues from the mobile communication services amounted to 856.2 million manats in Azerbaijan in 2017, the country’s State Statistics Committee told Trend Jan. 12.
The Committee said that this sector’s revenues rose by 4.4 percent in the period as compared to 2016.
Information and communication services worth 1,724.6 million manats were rendered to the population and organizations in Azerbaijan in 2017 that is by 6.6 percent more than in 2016.
Meanwhile, 81.2 percent of the revenues obtained in this sector accounted for the share of non-governmental enterprises in 2017.
Some 72.5 percent of the total volume of information and communication services accounted for those rendered to the population.
Meanwhile, revenues of the mobile communication sector accounted for 49.6 percent of the total volume of telecommunication market’s revenues.
