Azerbaijan exports satellite services worth over $15M

The revenue of Azercosmos OJSC from the export of satellite and telecommunication services in January-August 2018 amounted to $15.3 million, the Export Review, published by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications on Oct. 2, reads.

The export value of satellite services in August 2018 amounted to $1.3 million.

According to the Center, the revenue of Azercosmos received from the export of services was 86 percent of its total revenues.

Azercosmos provided 22 countries with its services. The bulk of the operator’s service exports accounted for France ($7.8 million), Malaysia ($4.2 million), the UAE ($1 million), Germany ($600,000) and Georgia ($400,000).

Azercosmos OJSC operates geostationary satellites Azerspace 1, Azerspace 2 and low-altitude satellite AzerSky.
