BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 10. Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan informed this week about commissioning of a radio and television station in Azerbaijan’s Lachin, Trend reports.

According to the ministry, for the station’s launch, a 20-meter tower and a technical building were involved. As a result, eight Azerbaijani TV channels, as well as Azerbaijani radio in the villages of Shusha and Gubadli districts nearby to Lachin were broadcast.

It was also reported this week that Magal Security Systems Israeli company is expanding the fields of its activities in Azerbaijan, working in the field of transport and oil and gas industry.

According to the company’s representative Hezzy Pollyack, Azerbaijan is a strategic partner of the company and cooperation is also conducted in the field of training Azerbaijani specialists.

The company is working on developing human resources potential in Azerbaijan, both directly in the country and through internship in Israel, he added.

Besides, Azerbaijan’s Innovation and Digital Development Agency said this week that together with other government entities, it’s working to create a system of benefits and privileges for local IT companies and startup creators, as well as an even more favorable environment for potential foreign investors in this area.

Meanwhile, the Computer Emergency Response Center (CERT) under the Special Communication and Information Security State Service of Azerbaijan noted that from January through August 2022, the number of inquiries in Azerbaijan related to computer security amounted to 3,981, of which 94.85 percent (3,776 inquiries) was considered and satisfied. The number of blocked computer threats in the AzStateNet network amounted to 204,980.
