The State Statistics Committee with the Communications and Information Technologies Ministry work on data preparation on IT state in Azerbaijan. The bodies had technical data on communications technologies such as number of telephones and work carried out in this sphere so far, the Ministry told Trend.
“The key objective of the work is to determine level of development of the information society in Azerbaijan,” the Ministry said.
In particular, they will hold research to determine the level of use of internet and other IT services. The work is carried out on the base of the undersigned agreement between the State Statistics Committee and the Communications Ministry. “The work will be over in March 2006,” the Ministry concluded.
