The Minister of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan Ali Abasov received the Chairman of the organization Copenhagen consensus Yons Lomburg, Trend reports quoting the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan
. The Minister spoke about the large-scale reforms held in Azerbaijan.
According to Lomburg, Copenhagen consensus is formed from the representatives of various countries and aims to ensure the sustainable development of the countries. According to him, the sphere of communications and information technologies is one of the priorities for Azerbaijan. He stressed that a Baku consensus will be created in the near future.
Abbasov provided information about the development of ICT in Azerbaijan, as well as works carried out towards creating a special economic zone. He invited Lomburg to participate at the conference that will be held within the framework of the international exhibition Bakutel-2006. Also, the meeting was attended by the resident co-ordinator of UNO in Azerbaijan Marko Barsotti.
