Uzbekistan to invest into tourism

Three new resort areas will be created in Uzbekistan, one of which will be situated three thousand meters above sea level, Trend reports with reference to Uzbek media.

“Chimgan, Beldersay and Nanai resort areas are to be set up in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent region. Furthermore, Amirsoy and Yusufhona projects are to be continued,” the statement said.

“It is estimated that the creation of Chimgan resort area will cost $263.7 million, construction of Beldersay resort area will cost $178.4 million and creation of Nanai resort area will cost $62.4 million,” the report said.

“As a result of the projects implementation, some 49 km of tourist ski slopes will be laid, 100 new types of tourism services will be provided, 25,000 of beds for accommodation will be created and 3,000 new work places will be opened,” reads the message.

“Chimgan project is to be among top 10 resorts which are situated three meters above the sea level. The resort will provide budget services, middle class services and luxury services,” the report said.

“Furthermore, the Beldersay resort area will differ from other resorts due to its eco-friendly label, as no cars will be allowed at it,” the source said.
