Movement of cargo increases via Iran's Fereidoonkenar port

A total of 23,500 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 22-September 21, 2020), Trend reports citing Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran (PMO).

While in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 22-August 21, 2020), 17,300 tons of cargo was loaded and unloaded at this port, the report added.

According to the report, about 1,980 tons of goods were loaded and 21,500 tons were unloaded in the sixth month.

“During the reporting month, 1,980 tons of goods were exported and 18,700 tons were imported through the Fereidoonkenar port,” the report said.

“More than 2,800 tons of goods were unloaded for other purposes over the same month at this port,” the report noted.

According to the report, 16,500 tons of essential products, 1,980 tons of construction materials, and mining materials were loaded and unloaded at the Fereidoonkenar port in the 6th month of the current Iranian year.

“In addition, 5,000 tons of oil products were loaded and unloaded during the reporting month,” the report said.

In total, 5.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and 4.5 million tons were unloaded through Iranian ports in the 6th month of the current Iranian year.
