Kazakhstan’s revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via air transport amounted to 1.7 billion tenge ($4.1 million) in Jan. 2021, which is 2.7 times more than during the same month of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
The volume of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage transported via air transport during the reporting period amounted to 2,480 tons, which is 34.3 percent more compared to the same period of last year (1,850 tons in Jan. 2020).
Cargo turnover amounted to 5.4 million ton-kilometers which is 25.6 percent more than during the same period of last year (4.3 million in Jan. 2020).
In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 17.8 billion tenge ($42.8 million) in Jan. 2021, which 41.5 percent less than during the same period of last year.
The number of transported passengers amounted to 592,130 people, which is 14.1 percent less than during the same period of last year (689,200 passengers in Jan. 2020).
The passenger turnover amounted to 845.7 million passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is a decrease of 38.7 percent.
