BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 17. From January through August 2023, EU countries exported passenger automobiles and other motor vehicles capable of transporting less than ten persons worth 177.5 million euro, Trend reports.
According to Eurostat data, this number increased by 82 percent when compared to the same period in 2022.
From January to August of this year, the top three exporters were Germany with 82 million euros (a 55 percent increase), Slovakia with 48 million euros, and Italy with 19 million euros (a 85.2 percent increase).
In 2022, EU nations shipped to Azerbaijan cars and other motor vehicles worth 176.06 million euros (up 2.6 times from 2021), designed for transporting fewer than ten passengers.
Azerbaijan produced 1,942 automobiles from January to August 2023, 553 higher than in the same period in 2022.
Meanwhile, the country imported 65,726 vehicles, a 33.47 percent (16,481 unit) increase over the previous year.
