Military transport aircraft An-72 that crashed in Kazakhstan was going to land in bad weather, Press Service of the country's Attorney General office reported on Friday.

"As was determined, on December 25 the aviation metrological service JSC Kazaeroservice has twice, at 13:00 and 17:00, sent warnings of severe icing formed within a radius of 50 kilometers over the Shymkent airport at an altitude of 300 meters to 7600 meters, which is shifted to the north-east; the warnings were sent to all cities supporting air links with the center of South Kazakhstan," Attorney General office reported.

According to the Attorney General, a crime scene examination complete is completed; forensic experts have confirmed the identity of detected body parts to 27 persons.

"As for today, the victims' families have identified nine persons - Colonels A. Aytmanbetov, S.Dosybekov, S.Shukanov and Rahman Vyacheslav, majors A. Ibrayev and A. Golubev, Sergeants M. Konakbay, Sergeant Dolambaeva G. and Lance Sergeant P.Vyazikov," statement says.

Identification process is still in progress; genomic examination on the remains of bodies with essential damages is being conducted.
The flight recorder ("black box") is being decrypted; records of negotiations within the crew and with air traffic controllers are being investigated.

The investigation also seized and subjected to expert study the documents of the aircraft, samples of jet fuel, special fluids for aircraft handling, recording of radar data.
According to the Attorney General, all the possible versions of accidents are being considered.

AN-72 airplane that belonged to the border troops of Kazakhstan's National Security Committee (KNB) crashed on December 25 around 19:00 near the city of Shymkent in Kazakhstan killing all 27 people on board. The acting director of the Frontier Service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan, Colonel Turganbek Stambekov was among the killed people.
