Kazakh Prosecutor General Ashat Daulbaev and the U.S. Charge d'Affairs John Ordway discussed the issues of fighting against extremism and terrorism, the agency's press service reported.

'During the meeting, an interesting negotiation and exchange of views on issues of mutual interest took place. The parties expressed satisfaction with the achieved level of interaction and discussed prospects of further cooperation within the joint agreements signed earlier. They also discussed a large spectrum of issues including in the sphere of fighting against transnational crime, terrorism and extremism', the report said.

The Prosecutor General also spoke about the main directions of supervisory and human rights activities of Kazakhstan's prosecuting bodies, emphasising that protection of human rights is the subject of prosecutors' special attention.

Greeting his guest, Ashat Daulbaev congratulated John Ordway with his re-appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic career, stressing that the diplomat gained work experience In Kazakhstan and other CIS countries. This will give an additional impetus to the development of bilateral relations. The parties approved their interest in further expansion and strengthening of interactive areas.
