BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 20. Kazakhstan will export grain to Greece and import olive oil from this country, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.

The relevant document was signed by Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Erbol Karashukeev and Minister of Agriculture of Greece Giorgos Georgantas during the Kazakhstan Global Investment Round Table - 2022.

Karashukeev noted that stable yields and high-quality characteristics of domestic wheat contributed to the positioning of Kazakhstan as one of the world's leading exporters of grain and flour.

"Kazakhstan is also ready to supply products from the flour and cereal industries, meat, vegetable oils, and other types of processed and organic products. I hope that the signing of this document will give an additional impetus to the development of cooperation between two countries in the agricultural sector," he said.

Karashukeev also offered Greek investors to implement projects on the territory of Kazakhstan for the processing of agricultural raw materials, including meat and milk, potatoes, sugar beets, oilseeds, fruits, and so on.

Furthermore, the Kazakh side is interested in enhancing interaction between specialists and scientists from ministries and departments in the field of personnel training and scientific support for the agro-industrial complex, including joint scientific research.
