Kazakhstan increases prices for liquefied gas in some regions

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. The Chairman of Kazakhstan's Agency for Protection and Development of Competition has signed a decree increasing prices for liquefied petroleum gas in some regions of the country, Trend reports via the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan.

According to the document, prices for the liter of liquefied petroleum gas are as follows:

- Almaty city from 65 (14 cents) to 75 Kazakh tenge (16 cents);

- Almaty region - from 70 (15 cents) to 75 Kazakh tenge; and from 75 (16 cents) to 80 Kazakh tenge (17 cents) in settlements 200 kilometers from the regional center;

- East Kazakhstan Region - from 60 (13 percent) to 70 Kazakh tenge (15 cents); and from 65 (14 cents) to 75 Kazakh tenge in settlements 200 kilometers from the regional center;

- North Kazakhstan Region - from 70 (15 cents) to 75 Kazakh tenge (16 cents); and from 75 (16 cents) to 80 Kazakh tenge (17 cents) in settlements 200 kilometers from the regional center;

- Abai region - from 60 (13 percent) to 65 Kazakh tenge (14 cents); and from 65 to 70 Kazakh tenge in settlements 200 kilometers from the regional center;

It was noted that no price changes are planted in Kazakhstan's other regions.

Reportedly, the volume of Kazakhstan's consumption of liquefied petroleum gas in 2022 reached 1.8 million tons, increasing by 400,000 against 2021. Liquefied petroleum gas is used in Kazakhstan for household cooking, heating, and fuel.
