Accession to WTO is important stage in Kazakhstan's further integration process into world economy: K. Massimov

(kazinform) - Kazakhstan's entry process to the World Trade Organization (WTO) will be an important step for economy transfer to the innovational way of development, Vice prime minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov said at a roundtable today.

According to Mr. Massimov, national legislation on intellectual property has been changed in compliance with WTO standards. Kazakhstan entering WTO will get many trade industrial benefits, as well as cancellation of all the current trade walls like allocation of Kazakhstan products by the member countries, reports Trend.

Kazakhstan will get a real opportunity to solve trade problems within the WTO frame on equal partners' rights. Country's accession to this international economic organization opens vast opportunities for strengthening Kazakhstan's competitiveness on the world markets. It will contribute not only to elimination of discrimination against the national producers but also to creation of favorable opportunities for investors' involvement, said Mr. Massimov at the meeting. Also he noted that the government will be working on opening of the international trade faculties in the Kazakhstan universities.

Accession to WTO is not a goal but the important step for Kazakhstan's further integration process into the world economy system, Mr. Massimov highlighted.
