President of Kazakhstan opens stock market in London
(gazeta.kz) - Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan, who is currently on a visit to Great Britain has opened the stock market today, November 22, in London, reports Trend
"The London Stock Exchange is one of the biggest in the world. Around 500 companies are registered in the LSE. Four Kazakhstani companies have allocated their shares on the LSE market: JSC "Kazkommertzbank", JSC "Kazakhmys", "Kazakh Gold Group Limited", JSC "Exploration Production "KazMunaiGaz", - the press service reminded.
Besides, the head of Kazakhstan met the Alderman John Stuttard and participated in a conference "Kazakhstan - a way ahead". "The conference participants, representatives of business circles of Kazakhstan and Great Britain, considered opportunities for extension of the investment co-operation," - the report says.
